Removed the glazing and push pins from the side shown here, and used steel wool as well as soap and water to clean the glass.
Windows were covered in layers of soot, smoke, paint, glazing and who knows what. Some glass was missing from cracking and breaks. TLC with steel wool, razor blades, an old toothbrush, plus soap and water allowed light through them once again.
Both windows were treated to minor glazing repairs, cleaning and minor glass replacement.
